Signing our songs
Last Wednesday the H.I.S APPA
Choir members went to East Tamaki School for their very first rehearsal this
year in order to get prepared for the APPA Festival on November 12th. We had lots
of fun learning songs, and did a great job singing with sign language for
the song “Islands”, as seen below. Hope you enjoy it. Come
to see us at the concert!
We Need Green!
Spreading the word through interior design, these Room 16 students not only have a cool cushion on their hands, they have a message to help counteract the harmful damage that is Deforestation.
Muffin Magic
Testing which muffin recipe would be a favourite for the students to purchase if they were available from the Tuck shop... Yummmm!

Our Rain Drains
To help make a difference in our ocean, we need to take action. The Water Pollution group from Room 7 have begun painting their designs on 3 storm water cesspit drains in the Mansfield and Ngata lunch eating areas, to help raise awareness of the affect of litter on marine life. Although it looked like an old school form of punishment to the untrained eye, there was some enjoyment had during the scrubbing session to prepare the sites before painting.
