Melanoma Foundation visit
A group of students from Room 7 invited representatives from the Melanoma Foundation of New Zealand to come and speak to them about skin cancer for their inquiry learning. Linda and Lyn shared some very interesting, helpful, and concerning information about melanoma. These students are aiming to create art work that helps raise awareness of skin cancer, and encourages students at H.I.S to be sun smart. Students also presented ideas they have to help raise money for the foundation on Spotty Day, which will be held on March 28th. Watch this space to see what they come up with.
